The problem with the diamond base styles is that people start to know how they can beat it and an unusual layout always challenges them on another level. Here you have the Builder Hall in the middle but two sections on the sides. Results have been pretty well with this Builder Hall 5 base. The Builder Hall is in the center and for ground troops the Crusher position is really nasty to deal with, especially with the traps around it that makes it really frustrating to even deploy troops in waves into it correctly.

The bottom part of this base is working great against ground troops because they get soaked into the funnel and land directly in the Crusher there. Baby Dragon attacks can get critical at BH5 but the Air Bomb at the bottom side is pretty expensive to clear with the Elixir Storage on the side and the Firecrackers are loaded on the other side so even there you have plenty of defensive power against Baby Dragons.

This BH5 base here holds up pretty well against all kinds of Barbarians or Archer attacks that come for the annoying attacks that take ages but are hard to defend at Builder Hall 5. I used this base here for quite some time now and found it to hold up well against most attacking strategies, unless the attcker has a higher Builder Hall, but in that case no base layout in the world can save you the victory… Builder Hall 5 can be brutal sometimes and the best you can do is to focus on the battles that are in your hand and try to not get demotivated too much when a BH6 attacks you and crushes your base, you simply lack of the defenses to defend that.

This layout works nicely because you give the attacker a hard time to funnel troops to the core. The nice thing here is that the attacker will either come from the side or the top with their Giants, sending them into the immediate death at the Crusher with the Spring Traps.

Attacking from the bottom is only possible with Bombers, otherwise, the Giants will ignore the walls completely with the double-layer and also run towards the sides. So attacking without Giants… Still a similar problem. Attacking from the top is plain too risky and will often fail dramatically for the attacker so he needs to open up the bottom of the base with Bomber to send in his Barbarians.

The problem here is that he also needs to clear the Clock Tower and Star Laboratory costs at least 10 Barbarians to send troops into the center of the base. Last but not least the Baby Dragon attacks that are pretty strong against Builder Hall 5 bases. Attacking from the bottom will send the Baby Dragons into the Firecrackers all the time so they barely make it to the Builder Hall.

But before you do that, I recommend you to at least get your Archer Towers and Cannons to Level 6 because then they will need 1 shot less to kill Archers, Barbarians you might also want to consider Firecrackers because they will 2-shot lvl 12 Minions instead of needing 3 shots.

Tried out the funnel base with full level 4 walls with most defenses maxed out for a th5 except for a lvl 2 multi mortar. The first and last bases do look very promising though, going to see how they turn out.

In the last base they use 3 camp giants and 1 camp archers and the archers do pretty damage even before the giants wipe out. Need modifications.

The trap surprise base looks fairly easy to get a high two star on. Just put the battle machine in on the sidebar with the clock tower to distract the multi mortar and then lay in 6 giants on the right corner to bust through the wall, Andy the new archers behind them accordingly. I have a base that I made it works and you rarely get three stared unless the opponent has maxed troops.

Also you need your archers to level 5 and canons can be level 4 but it would be better if you upgrade to level 5. Your fire works should be at level 3 and higher.

Your double canons need to be at level 4 or higher and gourd post can be any level.
